An AHRIS license is for one company only. Reports that are generated for the company, specially those related to payroll, operate on the whole employee database.

You can still use AHRIS in a multiple company situation if you don't mind preparing some reports by hand. To do this, treat each company as the first level division in the organization. With this workaround you can still benefit from the automation with a single license.
